THE ONTARIO HEADWATERS NETWORK

Since 2009, the OHI has floated and received strong expressions of interest in the concept of a headwaters network.

At the dawn of 2012, as we release the pilot map for the OH mapping program, we are happy to also announce the creation of a sister effort – the creation of a community blog for headwaters, at OHNetwork.

Please use the blog to post comments on the pilot map on the Credit watershed, and we’ll use those comments to tweak the maps and/or potentially address problems.

More importantly, we invite individuals and organizations to use the blog to share stories on their local headwaters. Share a memory or a photo of a favourite headwater area; post a concern about a local problem; celebrate or make recommendations about the capacity or performance of government agencies – good or bad. Use the blog to establish common ground in the protection of Ontario’s headwaters.
